This concept art was created with an artistic direction constraint, aiming for a toy that could be made by a child to represent a guardian. Allow me to introduce Rockos the guardian.

Who Is Rockos?
Rockos is a castle guard in a Lego world belonging to a little girl. He has googly eyes, Lego arms, toothpick feet, and his protective helmet is a chocolate milk bottle cap. His defense weapon, which he hopes he'll never have to use, is a pin, and his body is a stone picked from the little girl's garden.
He's funny, upright, and honest, a gentle soul who takes pride in his role as a guard and in protecting the community.

The Creative Process
I was exploring a concept centered around the theme of a guard, envisioned with a whimsical, cartoonish artistic direction. My vision is akin to a toy crafted by a child using whatever materials are at hand, perhaps even glueing together odds and ends found around the house. In my research, I've drawn inspiration from various sources, such as Forky in Toy Story, certain Playmobil figures, Susanne from The Amazing World of Gumball, and Nicco from the movie Rio.

The chosen one
After this research, I drew small characters, each a little different, each having their own personality but all fitting into the idea of recycled objects. I then realized that Rockos represented the best the intention I wanted to convey. So I pushed his character design a little further, as can be seen in the attached photos, which include a turn around as well as a character movement reference.
