What is the Stickyman?
"The StickyMan" is a time-based racing game where the player embodies a toy sticking to the wall, aiming to reach their child's bag. This project was carried out during my first year at Ican, in the second semester. The assigned theme imposed the game genre: racing games in groups of 4 people.

My Roles
I played the roles of both game designer and sound designer in this project. We aimed to create a funny and memorable experience, so we incorporated a lot of vocal craziness. I used Reaper to record and edit the sounds, and then integrated them into Construct 3.

The Creative Process

As previously mentioned, my role was to create sounds and implement them into our game in line with our Artistic Direction, thereby bringing the environment to life. I scoured my surroundings for amusing sounds and recorded them using my microphone on Reaper. Similarly, for the voices, which are crucial to our gameplay, reminding the player of the urgency with timers, I sought inspiration from sounds that resonated with our project's aesthetic. Notably, Octodad served as a significant reference, as its concept and Artistic Direction closely align with our project. The satisfying yet somewhat stressful sounds, coupled with the interventions of the protagonist's wife, inspired me to establish the desired ambiance for our game.

The Menu Music
The music is crafted in a catchy manner, with cartoonish sound elements that enhance the friendly and joyful Art Direction.
